In order to be relevant and consistent to our definition of career, we have developed a career support system at Avisto Eastern Europe.
Each employee has a career path manager responsible for his career development plan. Career path manager helps you progress by understanding your capabilities, intentions as well as areas of improvements. Knowledge growth and skill enhancement could be managed through internal or external trainings, and domain transfers when the situation requires.
Finally, the career path manager takes into account both your career development vision, experience and company mission in order to determine the best way to support you on the way of reaching your career goals.
My concept of work used to be "work without pleasure" but being employed at Avisto Eastern Europe completely changed my perception. Exceptional people and experts in their field of work are what makes this company a great opportunity for both professional and personal growth. Hopefully I'll make the most out of this chance. During the last two years of my employment at Avisto Eastern Europe I have learned a lot in the field of Business Intelligence and Databases. Together with a mentor we have implemented a web application whose main purpose is to monitor the use of licenses by administrators. Working without stress and with great mentors made my work easier and contributed to greater productivity.
Balance between employees and management as well as the freedom to honestly state your opinion surprised me the most when I first joined the company. It is good when positive criticism and open communication are encouraged as well as when management has the intention to hear employees' point of view and act accordingly.
