Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Design Safety relevant architecture for hardware/software components following the IEC 61508 standard
  • Following the flexibility and scalability by keeping the focused-on quality and costs
  • Collaboration with marketing for the definition of the products
  • Creating the architectures for the safety-relevant hardware/software components
  • Writing product specifications for the safety components
  • Analyzing risks and execute system for FMEA/FMEDA
  • Supporting the team during the review processes for the safety hardware/software components
  • Working actively as part of the certification of the IEC 61508 with external certified body
  • Researching the technological trends

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Higher Degree (Technical University) in Computer Science, Automation or related discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in the development environment, ideally in industrial automation technology
  • Experience in machine automation with controller, HMI, IO systems and safety
  • Capable to design safety architectures for software and hardware following the IEC 61508
  • Deep knowledge for functional safety, with IEC 61508, ISO 13849, IEC 62061
  • Good understanding of R&D processes (requirements, system architecture, design, specification, implementation, verification and documentation)
  • Fieldbuses, networks and programming within the IEC 61131
  • Knowledge in scripting, XML and UML
  • Ability to analyze complex tasks and create solutions for them
  • High self-motivation, high own initiative, multi-cultural competences
  • Experience in cyber security
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
