My Engineering Story: Stefan, Industrial Automation Engineer

Under the mentorship of experienced engineers, I successfully mastered all the challenges and skills necessary for an industrial automation engineer.

Throughout my formative years, I often found myself torn between choosing social or natural sciences. Despite graduating from a Mathematics and Science department program in high school, I was unsure about my future path.

However, I eventually decided to pursue engineering sciences due to the integration of mathematics and physics in real-world systems and their practical applications.

Fatefully the choice fell on engineering. During my studies at Faculty Of Mechanical Engineering I encountered a wide spectrum of engineering disciplines, but I was particularly drawn to the field of Automatic Control. Over the next two years, I acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in automatic control, programming, industrial automation, and more.

After completing my master’s thesis, I learned about Avisto Eastern Europe Company from a fellow student who was employed there. He shared his experience, which intrigued me at that moment.

Upon his recommendation, I applied for an internship at Avisto. Under the mentorship of experienced engineers, I successfully mastered all the challenges and skills necessary for an industrial automation engineer.

This experience significantly contributed to my transition from academic to the professional world. The skills I gained there made the onboarding process much easier once I got hired and started working on a real project.

Working in this position offers a perfect blend of active engagement, whether in the office or remotely, as well as the integration of software tools and hardware components. Moreover, it involves continuous development in line with market demands and the latest technologies in the industry.

Working alongside dedicated colleagues who are committed to achieving common goals creates a vibrant and supportive atmosphere. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that values teamwork, open communication, and a shared passion which leads to excellence.
